looking back to the Summer already - two baby tree sparrows

I recently led a workshop with photographer and artist Paul Kenny. Just spending time with him has opened my eyes to many more creative possibilities that I am keen to explore.

 

This image is just a bit of mucking about but I kind of like it in a surreal sort of way.

Out of the depths I cry to you.

 

After my mother died I had a discussion with a friend about how to visually depict sorrow. The next day I made this.

We have just returned from a unforgettable holiday in Antigua. I barely took any pictures on my DSLR. I was too busy relaxing and having the time of my life. But I must admit I regret it a little now..lol

This is one of two apple trees that I remember eating apples from as a child. I like how the trunk was trained.

It seems this year that art is going outdoors in London, and much to do with trees. These very colourful metal trees are popping up around the market and JLC. So far I have seen them in blue, red, orange and yellow.

Shining sun in between hail showers gave some great light.

Grape vines cut from oaks. The vines grow upward draging the trees to the ground. To free the trees, we cut them at the ground, coming back after they've died to pull them down.
